When I walked the earth with the disciples and the Twelve
I tried to teach them what is good and true
I tried to show the Pharisees the errors of their ways.
To learn these lessons, here’s what you must do:

Read My Word as they wrote it, Matthew, Mark, and Luke, and John.
Hear My voice as it echoes through the years.
Heed My call as it leads you down the straight and narrow way.
Read My Word, hear My voice, heed My call.

 

Read the Gospel ev’ry day.  Apply it to your life.
The written Word will help you find your way,
And as you take this journey through life’s ups and downs with Me
You’ll find your faith grows stronger ev’ry day (as you)

As you seek the answers in My Word
Open up to Grace sent from above.
Open up to all they saw and heard.
Open up your heart to all My Love

 

And as My Love fills up your heart just let it overflow!
Shine your light for all the world to see,
And when the people ask you how you came to be this way
You just smile and point them straight to me!  Tell ‘em
